Inko is a good mother, but she can't possibly know everything. She'd fretted when she saw that ties were a mandatory part of the UA uniform and Izuku had smiled, feeling a bitterness well within him as his clumsy hands tried, again and again, to properly knot the tie. He'd thought it just one more thing he'd have to overcome on his own.
